Mission statement:  Bridges Safehouse provides transitional housing for homeless pregnant women and victims of sexual assault. 

Our History:

Bridges Safehouse was first started in 1998 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  The initial thought was to help women in crisis.  As the need for housing for homeless pregnant women was realized, the mission statement changed to transitional housing for homeless pregnant women and victims of sexual assault.  Bridges feels more like a home – not a shelter.  As you enter, there is a feeling of peace and comfort.  The residents have a room of their own, a place to rest and consider the future for themselves and their children.  Bible study and parenting classes are provided.  The young women we serve are given unconditional love by volunteers who come in 3 hour shifts all through the day, to spend time and share their talents with our residents.  Bridges Safehouse takes young women out of crisis situations and gives them hope.
